You offer 4 Milky Way workshops, which one is right for me?Anyone can participate in my Milky Way workshops as they are very similar. The main differences lie in the duration and price. The longer workshops allow for more in-depth exploration of techniques. We keep our groups small to ensure personalized attention at each participant's level. The advanced class is recommended for those with prior experience in night photography.

What is the weather policy for the Milky Way photography workshop?Our Milky Way photography workshop will proceed as scheduled, rain or shine. In the event of heavy clouds, rain, or storms, we’ll continue with the class indoors, covering all essential techniques, settings, and tips to ensure you're fully prepared for clear skies in the future. If weather conditions prevent us from photographing the Milky Way outdoors, I’ll arrange a complimentary practice session for those able to return, giving you the chance to apply what you’ve learned under ideal conditions. This session is optional and ensures everyone has the opportunity for hands-on night sky photography. Please note that weather is unpredictable and beyond our control, so we encourage participants to view the indoor session as a valuable learning experience, providing you with the skills to capture stunning nightscapes whenever the skies are clear.

What risks and liabilities should I be aware of when participating in workshops with Ari Rex - Photographer?Participation in workshops with Ari Rex - Photographer involves inherent risks and dangers, including water hazards, hiking in rugged terrain, equipment malfunctions, encounters with wildlife, temperature extremes, inclement weather conditions, transportation risks, and more. By booking with Ari Rex - Photographer, you acknowledge and assume these risks voluntarily. The release of liability extends to all equipment and activities associated with the workshops. Participants agree not to sue the Released Parties for any claims related to the risks and liabilities described.

What is the cancellation policy for workshop bookings?You can cancel your workshop booking anytime up to four weeks before the workshop day for a full refund*. Cancellations made within 21 days prior to the workshop will incur a 50% cancellation fee. Unfortunately, refunds cannot be issued for cancellations made less than 14 days before the workshop (10% admin fee applies). In case we have to cancel our workshop due to illness or emergency, we will refund all the money, including the admin fee.

Is travel and health insurance included in the workshop cost?Travel and health insurance is NOT included in the cost of your workshop. We strongly recommend that passengers arrange their own travel insurance to ensure coverage for unforeseen situations such as loss of luggage, flight and tour cancellations, or medical emergencies. Ari Rex and affiliates are not responsible for any equipment loss or damage during the activities. It is advised to arrange appropriate travel insurance before visiting the destination.

Do you offer gear hire for your workshops?Yes, we do! At Ari Rex, we offer comprehensive gear hire for all workshops with limited availability. Bring your own SD card to take your images home. You can hire full gear (select gear +spot during the booking) or specific items like tripods, lenses, or cameras. Just shoot us a request here. We're excited to support your photography journey!

What is included in my quote?Your quote includes the following services and deliverables: Free 30-Minute Consultation: A complimentary 10- 30 minute consultation, either in person or via phone, to discuss your event details, photography needs, and any specific shots or styles you prefer. Fully Edited and Retouched Images: All images provided will be professionally edited and retouched by myself personally to ensure the highest quality. This includes color correction, exposure adjustments, and any necessary touch-ups. Online Password-Protected Gallery: You will receive access to an online gallery where you can view, share, and download your images. The gallery is password-protected to ensure privacy and security. Social Media and Full-Resolution Images: In addition to the original full-resolution images, you will also receive optimized versions of your photos specifically formatted for social media platforms. These images are perfect for sharing on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and other social networks. Additional Services (if applicable): Depending on your package, additional services such as dedicated Photobooth, Print on site, Print on gallery (after delivery), extended coverage, or custom albums may also be included. Be sure to ask us about the extras.

When will we receive our photos?The turnaround time for receiving your fully edited and retouched images is typically 2-5 working days. If you need the images sooner, we can often accommodate expedited delivery upon request. In some cases, we can even deliver your shots within the same day of the event. Rest assured, we prioritize both speed and quality to ensure your photos look their absolute best.

How long does a portrait or headshot session take?Most sessions last between 20 minutes to 2 hours, depending on the package and the number of looks or outfits you’d like to include. I ensure a relaxed and efficient experience to capture your best angles.
